Polish Day celebrates with dance at park


NEW CASTLE, PA.

The 22nd annual Lawrence County Polish Day will be Sunday at Cascade Park dance pavilion.

The kitchen will feature Polish foods prepared by Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church and will open at noon with dancing from 1:30 to 8 p.m. Grammy nominated Lenny Gomulka and Chicago Push and The Boys will be featured.

Admission is $12 for age 17 and older. Age 16 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.

Crafts and vendors will be on hand and Polish beer will be available.

Donations of cash, children’s items, toiletries, school supplies and scarves and mittens will be collected at the door to benefit orphanages.

The event is sponsored by the American Polish Central Committee of Lawrence County with proceeds benefitting its annual scholarship fund and other outreach projects.
