Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. The meal consists of chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. Cost is $7. No reservations are necessary. THURSDAY

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, will sponsor a takeout-only beef tips and noodles dinner from 2:30 to 6 p.m., or until sold out. Tickets cost $7 each, and the meal comprises sirloin Angus beef tips, noodles, mixed vegetables, roll and butter, and a cookie. Drive up to the back door and place an order. FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 Friday at 330-746-9528, and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $6 for a baker’s dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. A limited supply of frozen pirogi will be available. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi on Fridays. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday; walk-in orders will be available.

SATURDAY

Potential Development Program’s School of Autism and Help Hotline Crisis Center will serve pasta dinners from noon to 4 p.m. at Holy Family Social Hall, 2729 Center Road, Poland. Dinner includes meatballs, salad, rolls, beverages and dessert. Members of the Local 396 Pipetrades Union will prepare the dinners. St. Anthony Church is planning its fall spaghetti dinner Oct. 21. A basket auction will promote area businesses and officeholders. Golden patrons are asked to donate $100 or more, and their names will be displayed on a large sign. Others may donate $100 to receive 10 tickets and be recognized on the place mats.
