Youngstown man gets 7 years for aggravated vehicular homicide


YOUNGSTOWN — A jury of six men and six women in August found 32-year-old Christopher Kelso guilty of aggravated vehicular homicide and aggravated vehicular assault and today he found out he will be spending the next seven years behind bars for those crimes.

Kelso, of East Midlothian Boulevard, appeared for sentencing before Judge Lou A. D’Apolito of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

Kelso was facing up to 13 years in prison after being convicted of aggravated vehicular homicide in the death of his front seat passenger, Pamela Kennedy, 28, of Boardman, and of aggravated vehicular assault with nonfatal injuries suffered by back-seat passenger, Javier Colon, 31, of Youngstown.
