Trial ordered in 1995 slaying of teenager

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (AP) — A man already awaiting trial in a slaying two years ago has been ordered to stand trial in the murder of a teenager in south-central Pennsylvania more than a decade and a half ago.

A Franklin County judge on Monday ruled that there was enough evidence for 49-year-old Jeffrey Miles to be tried in the death of Angie Daley of Waynesboro, who was 17 when she disappeared in 1995.

Police said Miles led Pennsylvania state troopers to Daley’s remains in Waynecastle during a 2010 investigation that led to a capital murder charge in the stabbing death of 29-year-old Kristy Hoke of Hagerstown, Md.

A court-appointed defense attorney argued that dental records and DNA evidence from one filling was insufficient to charge his client in Daley’s death.
