Bike safety program Saturday at Mill Creek MetroParks Farm

The Mill Creek MetroParks’ Bike Smart! program will teach children bike safety techniques and apply learned skills on a short 10 mile bike ride.

The event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the MetroParks Farm on state Route 46 in Canfield and will be instructed by Christian Hunter, MetroParks police bike patrol officer, and Angela McGrady, recreation program coordinator.

Participants will bike five miles to the Kirk Road Trailhead, eat lunch then bike back to the farm. Bikers are asked to bring a bike, helmet and packed lunch.

The cost to Mahoning County residents is $2, and non-residents will pay $3.
