Women walked into the future and opened their minds to a world of nothing but their aspirations during Visions of His Glory Ministry’s “Tea” in Poland Sept. 8.
Participants were encouraged to picture themselves in 10 years living out their dreams and discuss it with others as if it had already happened.
“We get so bogged down over the years of our lives that we’ve forgotten our dreams. Life gets hard and we get disappointed and sometimes disappointments replace dreams. The tea brings us together. During the tea, you don’t get to know people by their troubles. When we get together, others get to know you by your heart’s desires. This is a time of coming together and having fun like children, because adults get so bulked down with life. We don’t preach — we do it with an atmosphere that’s fun. It’s all in the sweetness of Jesus,” said Visions of His Glory Ministry Pastor Sue Blessings.
Some women discussed living in other countries while others talked about completely changing their careers and reaching goals that they’d always wanted to accomplish. The event also offered participants a chance to dress up in elaborate hats and taste a variety of teas. Some participants were left feeling more encouraged.
“It’s kind of fun to talk about what’s going to happen in 10 years. I think it’s powerful,” said Joy Chickonoski.
