MADISON DEMPSEY

Name: Madison DempseyInstrument: Saxophone

Q. When did you start playing your instrument?

A. I started playing the alto saxophone in the eighth grade Jazz Ensemble at Boardman Center Middle School.

Q. If you could play any other instrument, what would it be and why?

A. If I could play another instrument I would chose to play the guitar because I have always had an interest in learning that instrument.

Q. Best memory of being in band/marching band?

A. My best memory of being in marching band was the trip we took to Disney World last year. We got to march through the Magic Kingdom and it was such a great experience and so exciting to see all the people smiling and waving. Another great memory from that trip was getting to spend New Year’s in Hollywood Studios with all of my closest friends.

Q. What band trips did you attend, and which trip was your most memorable?

A. I have traveled to New York City, Washington, D.C. and Orlando, Florida with the band! We are also going to be traveling to Chicago for Thanksgiving to participate in the McDonald’s Thankingsgiving Day Parade which I am very excited about.

Q. Why is music important to you?

A. Music is very important to me because it is a way for me to express myself and it is something I feel very passionately about.

Q. What college do you hope to attend/intended major?

A. I plan to attend Ohio State University or Bowling Green State University and I will study pre-medicine and plan to become a radiologist in the future.
