JACI MULLALLY

Name: Jaci MullallyInstrument: Saxophone

Q. When did you start playing your instrument?

A. I started playing in the fifth grade when I could first join band at school.

Q. If you could play any other instrument, what would it be and why?

A. I think I would have liked to try to play the drums. I love listening to their cadences.

Q. Best memory of being in band/marching band?

A. Meeting all of my friends. I wouldn’t know half of them if I had not joined the band. We all have a good time in band together — it makes each day memorable.

Q. What band trips did you attend, and which trip was your most memorable?

A. I went to Disney World in my freshman year and New Orleans (NOLA) in my junior year. They were both memorable, but NOLA was the best, by far. The experience was incredible and it was such an interesting place to be able to go with my friends.

Q. What competitions did you participate in and awards you won?

A. I participated in contests with the symphonic band in school in 2011 and we finished with a “2,” which is a good mark.

Q. Why is music important to you?

A. Music is important to me because it lets everyone express themselves and they are able to just have fun with it. Music is a different kind of escape that always makes you feel better, either just for yourself or to share with people around you.

Q. What college do you hope to attend/intended major?

A. I have not chosen which college I would like to attend to date. I will be staying in Ohio and I hope to major in graphic design.
