Warren man attacked with hammer in roommate dispute

WARREN

A Detroit man has entered an innocent plea to assaulting his roommate with a hammer Monday night at a Dunstan Drive Northwest home.

D’Andre B. Richardson, 25, was arrested at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday at 2771 Dunstan Drive, a few doors away from the residence where the alleged assault took place.

Richardson is being held in the Trumbull County jail in lieu of $75,000 bond. If convicted, he could get up to eight years in prison.

The victim, a 25-year-old man, told police he told Richardson to move out, causing Richardson to strike him several times in the head with a hammer.

The victim had blood covering his head and face when police arrived.
