Trial delayed a year in parents' slayings
WARREN
The trial date for Louis Mann, 32, facing the death penalty in the slayings of his parents Sept. 30, 2011, has been delayed one year.
Today, the trial date was moved from Oct. 12, 2012, to Oct. 2, 2013, to give attorneys for the prosecution and defense adequate time to prepare. Judge W. Wyatt McKay of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court approved the move.
Police said Mann admitted to strangling his mother with a clothesline and killing his father by beating him with a metal flashlight and
shooting him at their home on Jefferson Street Southwest.
