Pit bull attacks man on East Side

An unidentified city man is still in the hospital and a pit bull terrier is dead following a vicious attack by the dog Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, the man was in the area of Jacobs Road and Arcadia Avenue on the East Side when he was attacked by a large white pit bull. Reports say the attack left the man with a severed artery in his leg.
