Woman shot to death on Cleveland's east side

CLEVELAND (AP) — Police say they are investigating the slaying of a Cleveland woman who was riddled with bullets.

WJW-TV reports that the woman was shot multiple times in a residential area of the city’s east side just before midnight Tuesday. She died later at a hospital.

The victim hasn’t been identified. Police said she is about 35 years old. A Cleveland EMS supervisor told the TV station that the woman was shot in the back, chest and stomach.

No other details were released. There have been no arrests.
