Rock group America in concert Oct. 5 at Stambaugh Auditorium

YOUNGSTOWN — The Grammy-winning rock group America will come to Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave., for a 7 p.m. concert Oct. 5.

The band, which formed 40 years ago, consists of founding members Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell. It mixed acoustic guitar and vocal harmonies to create a string of hits, including “A Horse With No Name,” “Sister Golden Hair,” “Tin Man” and “Ventura Highway.”
