Quaker Steak offers limited-time items

SHARON, PA.

Quaker Steak & Lube is launching its third limited- time items offer for 2012 from Tuesday through Jan. 8, 2013.

The limited-time items are the “Burgers, Brew & BBQ,” and features hand-crafted burgers and Southern- inspired barbecue.

The items are created from The Lube’s own staff and burger contest winners from the Robinson, Pa., Canton and Westminster, Colo., properties.

The Lube is introducing two new savory sauces: the Soco Fiery Pepper BBQ and Smokin’ Texas BBQ Lite sauce.

Inventors group to meet at library

AUSTINTOWN

The Youngstown & Warren Inventors Association will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Austintown Public Library, 600 S. Raccoon Road.

Guest speaker will be Dr. Darrell Wallace, professor of engineering at Youngstown State University and deputy director of the Workforce Educational Outreach for the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute.

Wallace will give a presentation on the additive manufacturing technology and show a sample product made using this method. The meeting is open and free to the public.

Group schedules 10th annual dinner

NEW CASTLE, PA.

The Lawrence County Economic Development Corporation is having its 10th annual dinner Sept. 19.

Bill Flangan, executive vice president of corporate relations at the Allegheny Conference, will host the business talk-show portion of the evening.

The event starts at 5 p.m. with a reception. It is at the Scottish Rite Cathedral at 110 B. Lincoln Ave.

PTNE Telecom has changed its name to Perigee Business Technologies to reflect the growing business communication services and products it provides.

The company offers video conferencing, network services, door access controls, public address systems and WiFi networks along with VoIP.

Area chambers plan a breakfast forum

The East Liverpool, St. Clair Township and Wellsville Area Chambers of Commerce will have the Sunrise Business Breakfast Forum on Sept. 18 at the St. Clair Township Administration Building located at 15442 Pugh Road.
