Arson suspect freed from jail

A Trumbull County grand jury has refused to indict a 19-year-old Oak Street Southwest man on four counts of aggravated arson.
He could have faced as many as 40 years in prison if convicted.
Police charged Kemari James with setting fire to a house also on Oak Street in July, and a Warren Municipal Court judge ordered him placed in Trumbull County jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.
But on Wednesday, a grand jury said it didn’t find probable cause that James committed a crime, and he was released from jail the same day.
Ken Nussle, Warren’s fire chief, said investigators believed James had thrown something on fire through the home’s window after having a domestic dispute with a woman who lives in the home. No one was injured.
A baby sitter said she saw James just outside of the home at the time the fire started.
