A 26-year-old Arthur Drive Northwest man has been indicted secretly on charges accusing him of firing a gun into a house next to the Olympic Inn Tavern on Aug. 4, with the bullet striking a sleeping woman in the head.
Police said they believe the gunshot came from the parking lot of the tavern.
Antonio M. Price faces charges of discharging a firearm into a home and felonious assault. If convicted, he could get up to 18 years in prison.
Price also was indicted Wednesday on aggravated robbery and another count of discharging a firearm into a home in an unrelated case from Aug. 17. Those charges could add another 21 years in prison.
He will be arraigned Wednesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.
The victim of the shooting, Pamela Dial, 43, of Parkman Road Northwest is in stable condition in Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center.
Dial was sleeping when a bullet struck her at 2:15 a.m. She remained in critical condition for several weeks and was recently upgraded to stable condition.
Dial had called police about gunfire at the tavern only two weeks before she was shot. Warren police reports say two other incidents involving guns at the tavern took place between July 21 and July 25.
The tavern has remained voluntarily closed since the shooting, and Warren City Council recently voted to ask the state not to renew the tavern’s liquor license.
Price and Dwayne W. Bruce, 23, of Southern Boulevard, Warren, also are charged in an Aug. 17 robbery at a home in the 2400 block of Cranwood Drive Southwest.
Bruce was indicted on charges of aggravated robbery, improperly discharging a firearm into a home and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He could get up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
