Instrument: Trumpet/Field Conductor

Q. When did you start playing your instrument?

A. I started playing in the fifth grade.

Q. If you could play any other instrument, what would it be and why?

A. If I could play any other instrument it would be percussion. It was my second choice as a kid and everyone on the drumline always looks like they are having a blast.

Q. Best memory of being in band/marching band?

A. My favorite memory in band is this past year at Band Camp. I can truly say that the whole week was the most enjoyable time I have had in band. The best moment of the week, though, was the senior party since it had been anticipated for a long time.

Q. What band trips did you attend?

A. I attended the New York Veterans’ Day trip, the Washington D.C. Cherry Blossom Festival, The Steelers game, the Cleveland Browns game and I have gone to countless Cedar Point trips over the years.

Q. Why is music important to you?

A.Music is very important to me because not only is it a nice break from my hectic day at school, but seeing the reaction of crowds is always enjoyable. Being able to see the effects we have on people simply by playing our instruments is truly life-changing.

Q. What college do you hope to attend/intended major?

A. I hope to be able to attend the University of Cincinnati and major in Aerospace Engineering.
