By NATALIE SCOTT
The Canfield girls cross country team enters the 2012 after compiling a 22-8 record in 2011 and looking to improve even more this season. The returning letterwinners are seniors Emma Lunne, Jamie Watt, junior Anna Luongo, and sophomores Victoria Bosze and Hannah Nischwitz. They will have the task of leading incoming freshman Rachel Rostek, Tori Pachecco and Jenny McClune.
Coach Doug Weitzman believes this team will fare well this year.
“My projected top seven are Lunne, Watt, Luongo, Rstek, Pachecco, McClune, Bosze, and Nischwitz. Lunne is one of the best runners in the area and will battle of the AAC championship,” said Weitzman.
