Fitch girls runners looking to improve
By NATALIE SCOTT
Coming off of a 30-30 record in 2011 and having lost Taylor Marshall and Marie Bishop to graduation, the Austintown Fitch girls cross country team will look for improvement this fall.
Returning to the team this year are Courtney Dockry, Carissa Jenkins, Amanda Choma and Jaclynn Choma. They will carry the responsibility of leading the newcomers on the team.
“We have the potential to be a solid team who could score well in meets,” said head coach Amy Diefenderfer.
“Our numbers are looking to be higher than in years past, but a lot of our runners are multi-sport athletes. We are looking at improving upon last year’s achievements.”
