A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Aug. 24

Criminal damaging: Criminal damaging and attempted theft of an auto was reported by a resident of the 100 block of Laurel Hills at the Canfield Swim Club, 522 N. Briarcliffe Drive.

Aug. 26

Domestic violence: Joseph Michael, 52, of 22 Scott Lane was arrested for domestic violence at the Evergreen Motel, 485 W. Main St.

Drugs: Lucas Upole, 30, of 579 Stephens, Youngstown and Brandalynn Wolf, 29, of 365 Bradford Drive, Canfield were arrested for possession of psilocybin (mushrooms).

Aug. 27

Carrying a concealed weapon: Arash Montazeri, 18, of 531 Saw Mill Run Drive, Canfield was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon.

Aug. 30

Property damage: The front door of a home was damaged by a discharged firearm in the 100 block of Topaz Circle.

Warrant: Ruth Rowe, 49, of 487 York Ave., Warren was arrested for a traffic violation and a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge out of Youngstown police.

AUSTINTOWN

Aug. 27

Theft: Cash was taken from an auto at a home in the 300 block of Ayrshire Blvd.

Theft: A drill, phone and GPS were taken from an auto in the 3000 block of New Road.

Theft: Cough medicine was taken at Walgreen’s, 40 N. Meridian Road.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at a home in the 1000 block of Wilcox Road.

Theft: Bags of mulch were stolen from a home in the 6000 block of Fairview Road.

Theft: Credits cards, cash and a GPS were taken from an auto at a home in the 400 block of S. Raccoon Road.

Inducing panic: Donald Robertson, 26, of 4371 Kerrybrook was arrested for inducing panic.

Theft: Credit cards, cash and a GPS were taken from an auto at a home in the 400 block of S. Raccoon Road.

Burglary: Nothing was taken but threats were made to the home-owner in a burglary in the 5000 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Theft: A wallet and contents were stolen from an auto at a home in the 2000 block of S. Raccoon Road.

Burglary: Medicine was taken from an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West.

Fraud: Fraudulent activity was reported at a home in the 5000 block of Yorktown Lane.

Aug. 28

Theft: A window was broken out and a check was taken from an auto at a home in the 200 block of Forest Hill Drive.

Theft: A window was broken out of a car and the vehicle was gone through but nothing appears to be missing at a home in the 1000 block of Rosemont Avenue.

Warrants: Joshua Scofinsky, 22 Bouquet Ave., Youngstown was arrested on a warrant for complicity to burglary and Ashley Medeiros, 23, same address was arrested on a warrant for burglary and complicity to burglary.

Theft: Joseph Davanzo, 42, of 121 Ohltown Road was arrested for theft at Sheetz, 5499 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A window was broken but nothing was missing, and a vehicle was gone through at a home in the 3000 block of Huntmere Avenue.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle window was broken at a home in the 1000 block of Rosemont Avenue.

Theft: Cash and a credit card were stolen from an auto in the 3000 block of Oakleigh Street.

Theft: Money was taken from an auto in the 200 block of Forest Hill Drive.

Menacing: There is a suspect in a case of menacing at a home in the 3000 block of Rebecca Drive.

Drug offense: Stanley Palmer, 22, of 1907 Carnegie Ave., Niles, was arrested for possession of drug abuse instruments.

Assault: There is a suspect in an assault at Infocision, 740 Interstate Blvd.

Theft: Items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle at a home in the 1000 block of Woodgate Street.

Disturbance: A road rage incident was reported at Forest HiIl Drive and Potomac Avenue.

Felonious assault: A victim’s vehicle was intentionally struck by a suspect’s vehicle on Bexley Drive.

Aug. 29

Warrant: Andrew Stanton, 23, of 26 N. Navarre Ave. was arrested on two warrants for falsification and complicity to breaking and entering and theft.

Warrant: Adrienne Zarlengo, 41, of 4147 New Road, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a warrant for complicity to burglary.

Assault: A 29-year-old male was punched at Billy’s Bar, 40 S. Meridian Road.

Assault: An assault was reported at Rosemont Avenue and Westgate Boulevard.

Theft: Cash was stolen at Meridian Arms, 650 S. Meridian Road.

Warrant: Shawn Paulin, 33, of 410 Benton Road, Salem was arrested on warrants from six different jurisdictions and possession of heroin in bulk amounts; and Melissa Mills, 28, same address was arrested on a Trumbull County Sheriff’s warrant and for drug possession.

Warrant: Adrian Gordon, 36, of 446 Parkcliff Ave., Youngstown was arrested on warrants for domestic violence and criminal damaging.

Aug. 30

Lost or stolen property: A diamond ring was lost or stolen at a home in the 3000 block of Meanderwood Drive.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged by scratches, eggs and mustard in the 900 block of Compass West apartments.

Theft: Items were stolen from an auto at a home in the 4000 block of New Road.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was scratched at a home in the 500 block of S. Raccoon Road.

Recovered property: Two Ohio license plates were recovered at Infocision, 5740 Interstate Blvd.

Breaking and entering: A shed was broken into and items were stolen at Uncle Bob’s Storage, 3690 LeHarps Road.

Forgery: Checks were forged at a home in the 3000 block of Crum Road.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at a home in the 700 block of Notre Dame Drive.

Fraud: Unauthorized purchases were reported at a home in the 2000 block of Oak Trace.

Weapons offense: A victim was almost struck by a bullet while sitting on his deck in the rear yard at a home in the 3000 block of S. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: An iPad was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at a home in the 5000 block of Yorktown Lane.

Aggravated menacing: A juvenile male was threatened by a juvenile female in the 2000 block of S. Meridian Road.

Fraud: An ex-girlfriend took out loans in a male’s name totaling $11,000 at a home in the 4000 block of Claridge Drive.

Aug.31

Theft: Frank Crone, 33, of 739 Regal Ave., Youngstown was arrested for theft and resisting arrest at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle tire was damaged at a home in the 100 block of Lancaster Drive.

Theft: Two bicycles were stolen from a back yard at a home in the 3000 block of Staatz Drive.

Criminal trespassing: Tyler Karabin, 19, of 3947 Staatz Drive was arrested for criminal trespassing.

Theft: A 15-year-old juvenile is a suspect in a theft at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Jerry Sims, Jr., 33,of 547 W. Delason Ave., Youngstown was arrested for theft of a cordless drill at Austintown Pawn, 3700 Mahoning Ave.

Drug offense: Tiffany Bennett, 22, 671 Coitsville Road, Campbell was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Recovered property: Baseball equipment was recovered in the 5000 block of Norquest Blvd.

Sept. 1

Breaking and entering: Batteries were stolen off a pallet at Cerni Motors, 5751 Cerni Place.

Telecommunications harassment: A woman was being harassed by phone by a man in the 100 block of DeHoff Drive.

Warrant: Braulio Colon, 32, of 258 E. Dewey Ave., Youngstown was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.

Criminal damaging: A car tire was cut at a home in the 400 block of S. Raccoon Road.

Sept. 2

Theft: Socks and underwear were stolen at Dollar General, 1739 S. Raccoon Road.

Burglary: A window was broken out and a male suspect entered an apartment in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court. It is not known if anything was taken.

Theft: A victim located his stolen property on Craig’s List after items were stolen from his car at a home in the 4000 block of New Road.
