Historical society plans open house Sunday

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society will have a Founders Day Open House in celebration of its 137th anniversary from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Arms Family Museum, 648 Wick Ave.

Kids can participate in outdoor activities and Early American games as well as Civil War-era laundry, dress-up and crafts.

A new exhibit featuring architectural elements is opening in the museum, and a walking tour, weather permitting, of Wick Avenue will begin at 1:30 p.m. For information call 330-743-2589 or visit www.mahoninghistory.org.
