Police: Toddler found 6 hours after abduction

UPPER DUBLIN, Pa. (AP) — Authorities are trying to find three armed men who abducted a 2-year-old child who was found wandering a Philadelphia street a few hours after he was taken.

Police say Tymire Smith was kidnapped from his suburban Montgomery County home around 10 p.m. Tuesday after his abductors assaulted his father. The men allegedly stole a rented vehicle as part of their getaway.

Officials issued an Amber Alert and Tymire was found around 4 a.m. Wednesday on a street in West Philadelphia. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation and police say he appears to be in good condition.

The community where the boy was taken is about 15 miles from where he was found.
