2 fake homebuyers indicted in assault, robbery of homeowner


WARREN

Two men charged with pretending to be interested in buying a home on Central Parkway Southwest, assaulting the homeowner and stealing his car have been indicted on charges of aggravated burglary and receiving stolen property.

Ritchie L. Paden, 30, of Deforest Road and Jermaine C. Johnson, 35, of Wick Street Southeast will be arraigned Wednesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

Both men face prison terms of up to 11 years if convicted.

The robbery took place July 29.

The 63-year-old victim was rendered unconscious when one of the men put him in a choke hold, he told police.
