Second IHOP robber sentenced, gets four years

YOUNGSTOWN

The second of three people convicted of robbing the IHOP restaurant in Boardman using a BB gun has been sentenced to prison.

Angel M. Cruz II, 23, of Boardman, appeared before Judge R. Scott Krichbaum of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court Today for sentencing on one count of robbery. Prosecutors recommended a three-year sentence, but the judge handed down a four-year sentence.

Cruz will also spend three years on probation when he is released from prison.
