J will offer classes related to bridge

The Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane, is offering two bridge-related classes beginning in October.

“Learn How to Play Bridge,” from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 17 through Dec. 12, will teach basic bridge techniques. Participants must purchase the book “Bidding in the 21st Century — The Club Series” before classes begin.

The “Bridge Diamond Series,” from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesdays, will run Oct. 16 through Dec. 4 and will focus on the play of hand. It is open to those familiar with basic bidding concepts.

The cost is $50 for members and $60 for nonmembers.
