Cruze has record-breaking sales month in Aug.

LORDSTOWN

After a few subpar months of sales the Lordstown-built Chevrolet Cruze bounced back with a record month.

There were 25,975 Cruze sold in August topping the previous top month of April 2011 by 915 vehicles, according to information from General Motors.

Through the end of July, sales of the Cruze were down 12.7 percent from 147,620 in 2011 to 128,838 this year.
