YSU takes 7-0 lead over Pitt

Youngstown State took a 7-0 lead over Pitt midway through the first quarter on a 27-yard TD pass from Kurt Hess to Andre Stubbs with 8:25 left.

Hess found Stubbs on a play-action slant over the middle, capping a 10-play, 79-yard drive.

The drive started after YSU forced a fumble at its own 10, with Jeremey Edwards returning it to the 21.

It's YSU's first touchdown in three meetings with Pitt.
