Local entrepreneur to audition for show

Just Pizzelles, a startup company that specializes in baking the Italian cookie, has been called to audition for “Shark Tank” Season 4.

“Shark Tank” is a reality TV show that features a panel of entrepreneurs and business executives who consider offers from entrepreneurs seeking investments for their business or products.

Just Pizzelles entrepreneur Christina Benton received the call from ABC on her birthday Friday. It was not immediately clear when auditions will take place.

Winery plans events

Lake Milton

Haliday’s Winery at 2400 Northeast River Road will have its grand-opening events from Friday to Sept. 9.

Events will feature wine tastes, live music, food sampling, hot-air balloons, hay rides and raffles.

The winery has six signature wines, a full menu and views of Lake Milton and Olde Dutch Mill Golf Course.

Grand-opening events will be from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, noon to 11 p.m. next Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 9.

Bernanke speaks

JACKSON HOLE, Wyo.

Chairman Ben Bernanke sent a clear message Friday that the Federal Reserve will do more to help the still-struggling U.S. economy.

His remarks left two questions: What exactly will the Fed do? And when?

Bernanke described the U.S. economy’s health as “far from satisfactory.”

He stopped short of committing the Fed to any specific move.
