LOWELLVILLE

Tamara Nero of Lowellville became the bride of Dustin Socie of Youngstown during a ceremony Aug. 10 at Holy Rosary Church. The Rev. John Jerek officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.

Parents of the newlyweds are Mario and Denise Nero of Lowellville and Daniel and Laurie Socie of Youngstown.

The bride wore a white satin ball gown with beaded lace appliques and tulle underlay.

Honor attendants were the brides sisters, Melissa Coon and Amanda Nero. Bridesmaids were Maycee Socie, the groom’s sister; Colleen Duncan, Roxanne Nock and Lauren Gerberry, cousins of the bride; and Rebecca Komara. Carly Slaven, the bride’s cousin, was flower girl. The attendants wore jade dresses.

The groom’s brothers, Daniel and Michael Socie, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Mario Nero, brother of the bride; Jesse Coon, brother-in-law of the bride; Jim Berry, the groom’s cousin; and Jeff Peterson and Grant Dorney. Ring bearers were Caelan Slaven, the bride’s cousin, and Jayden and Jesse Coon, nephews of the bride.

The bride earned a bachelor’s degree in education at Youngstown State University and a master’s in counselor education at Westminster College. She is a kindergarten teacher at Stadium Drive Elementary, Boardman.

The groom earned a bachelor’s degree in education at YSU. He works with ninth- through 12th-graders at Mahoning Valley Opportunity Center, Youngstown.

The newlyweds received guests at a reception at the Byzantine Center at the Grove.

After a wedding trip to Maui, Hawaii, the couple reside in Boardman.
