Superstorm isn’t done with Pennsylvania yet

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Superstorm Sandy is heading into central Pennsylvania, bringing along lashing rains and high winds that are expected to leave many more without power.

The storm soaked Philadelphia and its suburbs on Monday, and was projected to make a sharp right turn around Harrisburg before bisecting the state on its way north.

It has already left more than 300,000 without electricity and closed interstates in the southeastern part of the state, causing flooding in low-lying areas and for smaller creeks and streams.

Officials are asking people to remain at home, as many government offices and schools will be closed until Wednesday.

Rains are expected to diminish through the day today.
