Helping local family
WARREN
Councilman Bob Dean, a Warren church and a Canfield restaurant owner are teaming up to help a Warren woman and her family left homeless by a fire.
Jessica Sharpe and her seven children, age 9 months to 11 years, were staying in a hotel after their home at 1510 Tod Ave. SW sustained fire damage Oct 22.
While at the hotel on Mahoning Avenue, their car was broken into and electronics were stolen.
Canfield restaurant owner Giuseppe Cincinnato, owner of Bella Napoli Pizza and Pasta, 419 E. Main St., Canfield, stepped forward to feed Sharpe’s family Monday night and provide a spaghetti dinner Sunday to raise funds.
The fundraiser will be 3 to 6 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 309 North Park Ave., with all proceeds going to the family.
Dean says donations also will be accepted at the church today from 1 to 5 p.m.
