Alternative

Boardman: Evangel Baptist Church, 5248 Southern Blvd., will host Pumpkinpalooza from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the church parking lot. The free event will include a slide, games, prizes, face painting, pumpkin decorating and warm beverages.

Boardman: The Southern Park Mall will host trick or treat from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Participating retailers will pass out candy to children. Guests can bring a bag or pick one up from guest services.

Campbell: Gospel Temple Baptist Church, 279 Whipple Ave., will host a Harvest Party “trunk or treat” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. The event will include food, candy, games and prizes. Children are encouraged to wear costumes and walk the perimeter of the church to retrieve candy from the trunks of members’ vehicles.

Jackson Township: The Jackson Township Citizens Association is hosting a community “Halloweeniefest” from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the gazebo in Jackson Park. Parking will be in the administration building. Families with children are welcome and are encouraged to stop in before or during township trick-or-treating hours. Free hot dogs and drinks will be served.

Lordstown: Harvest Point Church, 6100 Tod Ave., will host a “trunk or treat” from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Warren: Agape Assembly Church, 426 Nevada Ave. SW, is sponsoring a Fall Gospel Skate from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Champion Rollarena, 5040 Mahoning Ave. NW. The event is free, and skate rental is $3. Candy treat bags will be distributed.

Warren: Warren Family Mission, 361 Elm Road NE, will host a harvest party from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday for children up to age 13. There will be games, activities, face painting and a light meal. Nonscary costumes are encouraged.

Youngstown: The Black Knights Police Association and the Youngstown Parks and Recreation department host a “Safe Halloween Night and Trail of Treats” event at Wick Park, 260 Park Ave., from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Trick-or-treaters can expect candy stations and games.

Youngstown: Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 388 E. Midlothian Blvd., will have a trunk-or-treat Halloween activity from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Youngstown: Youngstown Phantoms host a trick-or-treat at 7:30 p.m. Wedneday at the Covelli Centre. Anyone dressed in costume will receive a $5 hockey game ticket.

Youngstown: Rising Star Baptist Church, 2943 Wardle Ave., will have Hallelujah Night, featuring games, a movie, and candy for children up to age 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Youngstown: Faith Community Covent Church, 1919 E. Midlothian Blvd., will host a trunk-or-treat event from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. All children are welcome.

Youngstown: The East Side Branch of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County is offering a trunk-or-treat program from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Parents will bring their children, ages 12 and under, in costume, but not wearing masks, to the library branch at 430 Early Road, where parents will distribute treats from the trunks of parked cars.
