AUCTIONS
First United Methodist Church of Lisbon will sponsor its biannual Christmas auction fundraiser from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 11 at Columbiana County Career and Technical Center, 9364 state Route 45, Lisbon. Reservations are due by Thursday by calling 330-424-5212. Cost is $7 for adults, $5 for children under 12 and free for those 5 and younger. Proceeds will go the church building fund. There will be live and silent auctions on holiday items, handmade crafts and gift packages. Libson Community Chorus and Stage Left Players will entertain. Appetizers and desserts will be served.
BOOK SALES
Friends of the Newton Falls Library will have a book sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Take donations of gently used books, DVDs and CDs to the library this week. Proceeds will benefit library programs and activities.
CARD, BINGO PARTIES
Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Lucy Church will host a bingo, card and lunch party Sunday at the Palermo Center, 394 Tenney Ave., Campbell. Doors open at 11 a.m. Lunch will be at noon and bingo begins at 1 p.m. Admission is $6. Tickets will be available at the door.
St. Patrick Altar and Rosary Society will host a card and bingo social from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the church hall, 367 N. Main St., Hubbard. Cost is $5. A light lunch will be served, and there will be table prizes, door prizes, a basket auction and 50-50 raffle.
CRAFT SHOWS
The A.R.T.S. Club is having a holiday craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 1 at Mohawk High School, 385 Mohawk School Road, Bessemer, Pa. Vendors are needed. Each will receive an 8-foot table and chair for $50. Student clubs and vendors will sell their handmade items, gifts, decorations, stocking stuffers and baked goods. Austintown Middle School PTA’s 28th Annual Autumn Craft Show will be from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at the school, 800 S. Raccoon Road. Grace Chapel Community Church, 4075 Lamor Road, Hermitage, Pa. will host Crafts for a Cause from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 10. Grace Chapel supports the small village of Pelerin, Haiti, and proceeds will support its school and maintenance of its new well. Admission of $1 goes to Mercer County backpack program for area school children. Shepherd of the Valley-Niles, 1500 McKinley Ave., is seeking vendors for its annual holiday craft show scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 9. Tables are $20; space is limited.
