BOARDMAN

Members of Angels of Easter Seals are planning the 26th annual Magic of the Angels Christmas to benefit Easter Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties, which serves children and adults with disabilities and special needs.

Todd Franko, editor of The Vindicator, will be the master of ceremonies for the holiday event scheduled at 6 p.m. Nov. 17 at Mr. Anthony’s, 7440 South Ave.

This year’s theme, “An Old-Fashioned Christmas,” will feature gourmet dining and dancing to the music of The Sensations. A silent auction will run throughout the evening and will include decorated trees, designer pieces, gift baskets, collector items and more.

Building Tomorrows, a three-week program of intense therapy for three to four hours daily for five days a week, will be featured. The results of this technology called SuitAbility for children with cerebral palsy have been equal to or more than what is usually achieved in one year of therapy.

For a donation of $25 ornaments may be purchased for the Children’s Magical Tree, which will be part of the live auction that also includes a Lenox Nativity set, weekend getaway for four at Greenbriar, a national historic landmark in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., a catered Super Bowl party courtesy of Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center and more.

Raffle tickets for $1,000 cash prize, $500 cash prize and two decorated trees complete with gifts may be purchased by calling Easter Seals 330-599-5568 or from members of Angels. Tickets also will be sold the night of the event. Winners do not need to be present.
