YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Saxon Culture Group will honor past president Erna Weber at the 43rd annual Trachtenball Nov. 3 at the Youngstown Saxon Club. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

Weber served as president of the Culture Group for more than 20 years. During her terms, the group grew to include an adult dance group, children’s dance group, brass band and support staff. The group toured the United States, Canada, Germany and Austria under her leadership, preserving and promoting the Transylvanian Saxon heritage.

The evening will include performances in traditional performance attire by the Deutsche Musik Verein, the Cleveland Saxon Dance Group, Youngstown Concordia Chorus and Youngstown Saxon Band.

A traditional dinner of schnitzel, mashed potatoes, vegetables and dessert will be served. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 10 and younger. Tickets will be held at the door.
