Students, teachers and parents enjoyed a day of fun activities outdoors during the school’s visit to Boardman Park hosted by Home at School organization Oct. 11.

“The kids have been looking forward to this and this makes us feel good because that’s what we’re here for,” said Home at School President Cathy Brook.

Students enjoyed the cool autumn weather and even a got a first-hand tour of the Boardman Park scenery during a wagon ride.

Cold weather did little to deter students as they climbed, jumped and played at the park. Teachers and parents had just as much fun during the event and were glad to see children so excited.

“I enjoy it. I love to be around all the kids and my daughter is very excited that I am here. I’m proud that my daughter goes to school here. We’re fortunate to have parents who will support activities like this for the kids,” said Bob Hennessy.
