Q. When did you start playing your instrument?

A. Greg and Casey began playing their instruments when they joined the fifth-grade band at Poland McKinley.

Q. Best memory of being in band/marching band?

A. Greg and Casey’s best memories of being in the band is the trip to Disney World they took their freshman year, as well as, all of the Massillon Band Nights that they have performed at since ninth grade. However, probably one of the best memories that they will never forget is being able to play at the BCS Championship Game in New Orleans in January 2012, because this performance was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Q. What competitions did you participate in and awards you won?

A. Casey competed in an ensemble for solo and ensemble. She received a rating of “1”, which is the highest you can receive.

Q. Why is music important to you?

A. Casey says that music has taught her to focus and relax. Greg says that music has been prevalent within his family for years and it is something he really enjoys.

Q. What college do you hope to attend/intended major?

A. Greg plans to join the United States Navy Academy and get a B.S. degree in pre-physical therapy and oceanography. Casey plans to attend Youngstown State University with a major in biology.
