NEW CASTLE, PA.

Potential students will have a chance to hear from possible employers about work opportunities at a open house organized by New Castle School of Trades.

Representatives from V&M Star, Dearing Compressor, Cleveland Brothers, Ellwood Crankshaft Group, Starr Manufacturing, TMK-Ipsco, City Machine Technologies and Quaker Manufacturing will be on hand to provide information on the qualifications and skills necessary to take advantage of the employment opportunities becoming available throughout the region due to growth in manufacturing and the oil and gas industry.

The school’s current enrollment of 650 students reflects growth spurred by industry demands for workers in skilled trades.

The open house will be from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 8. To register, contact the school at 800-837-8299.
