CORTLAND
An 80-year-old Vienna man will receive a traffic citation for an accident Wednesday morning in which his pickup truck slammed into a veterinarian’s office, destroying the front of the building.
The man, William Bradley, 80, of Sodom Hutchings Road, drove his 2006 Chevrolet pickup truck into the front of the Western Reserve Veterinarian’s Hospital, 677 S. High St., at 8:34 a.m., Cortland police said.
Two employees were inside the building at the time, and one of them received an injury to her hand but did not require medical attention, said Officer David Morris.
Bradley also went to the hospital to be checked out, but he did not appear to have any injuries.
Bradley told police he didn’t know what happened in the accident, but police were able to determine that Bradley’s car was heading north on Elm Road before traveling through the front yard of a business near the intersection and then crossing state Route 46 just west of the intersection.
It then passed through the hospital parking lot before striking the building, causing considerable damage.
