Austintown: Clare Bridge Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Center of Austintown, 1420 S. Canfield-Niles Road, will host a free trick-or-treat event for children today with refreshments at 4 p.m. and a parade at 5 p.m. For information, call 330-270-1448.
Boardman: Evangel Baptist Church, 5248 Southern Blvd., will host Pumpkinpalooza from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31 in the church parking lot. The free event will include a slide, games, prizes, face painting, pumpkin decorating and warm beverages.
Boardman: Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, will host a “trunk or treat” from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Church members will give out candy, and the event will also offer games, hayrides, and a visit from the Boardman Fire Department.
Campbell: Gospel Temple Baptist Church, 279 Whipple Ave., will host a Harvest Party “trunk or treat” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 31. The event will include food, candy, games and prizes. Children are encouraged to wear costumes and walk the perimeter of the church to retrieve candy from the trunks of members’ vehicles.
Canfield: Canfield United Methodist Church, 27 S. Broad St., will host a “trunk or treat” from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Children will visit open car trunks to collect candy, play games and eat snacks. Costumes are encouraged but not necessary. It is requested that play weapons are not included in costumes. Grove City Outlets: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Offered for children in costumes age 12 and under.
Lordstown: Harvest Point Church, 6100 Tod Ave., will host a “trunk or treat” from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31.
Poland: The Poland Junior Women’s Club will host the annual Halloween Carnival at McKinley Cafetorium, 7 Elm St., at 1 p.m. Saturday geared for children in second grade and younger. Event will include games, treats and a costume parade.
Warren: Agape Assembly Church, 426 Nevada Ave. SW, is sponsoring a Fall Gospel Skate from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 31 at Champion Rollarena, 5040 Mahoning Ave. NW. The event is free, and skate rental is $3. Candy treat bags will be distributed.
Warren: Warren Family Mission, 361 Elm Road NE, will host a harvest party from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31 for children up to age 13. There will be games, activities, face painting and a light meal. Nonscary costumes are encouraged.
Youngstown: The Black Knights Police Association and the Youngstown Parks and Recreation department host a “Safe Halloween Night and Trail of Treats” event at Wick Park, 260 Park Ave., from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31. Trick-or-treaters can expect candy stations and games.
Youngstown: The Youngstown Phantoms host a trick-or-treat at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Covelli Centre. Anyone dressed in costume will receive a $5 hockey game ticket.
Youngstown: Rising Star Baptist Church, 2943 Wardle Ave., will have Hallelujah Night, featuring games, a movie, and candy for children up to age 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31.
