MYCAP celebrating weatherization month

The Mahoning-Youngstown Community Action Partnership celebrates Weatherization Month, which is this month, with a Weatherization Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday in its parking lot at 1325 Fifth Ave.

Weatherization RX, an insulation contractor that does some of MYCAP’s weatherization projects, will have products on site to demonstrate how people can save energy and money during the winter months.

They include an insul-ation machine used to blow insulation into attics and walls; a blower door that measures the amount of heat escaping from the home; and caulking, weather stripping, sweeps and other items.

Everyone who visits will receive a free kitchen-faucet aerator used for water control and provided by Applied Energy Products.
