WEDNESDAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Cost is $7. No reservations are necessary. For takeouts or to order ahead call the church at 330-743-3175.

THURSDAY

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve all-you-can-eat fried fish, chicken or shrimp dinners from 3 to 7 p.m. Each meal is $8.50 for adults, $5 for children under 12 and free for those 3 and under. Meals with a fish sandwich are $5.50. For carryouts call 330-654-5630. A Halloween party is planned from 7 to 11 p.m. with live entertainment.

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. A limited supply of frozen pirogi will be available. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

East Side Crime Watch, 1001 Oak St. (corner of Oak and Fruit streets), Youngstown, is serving dinners of fish for $7 each or chicken wingdings for $6.50 each from 11:30 a.m. until food runs out. The meals include macaroni and cheese, string beans, potato salad and dessert; pop will be available for 50 cents a can.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 Friday at 330-746-9528, and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $6 for a baker’s dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi on Fridays. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday; walk-in orders will be available.

SATURDAY

Braceville United Methodist Church, 577 Park Road SW, Newton Falls, will have a stuffed pork chop dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. or until the food is gone. Cost is $9 for adults and $3.50 for children. Gustavus Federated Church, 8850 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, Farmdale, will have a bazaar and turkey dinner from 2 to 6 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children. Carryouts will be available. Bessemer-Mohawk Rotary Club will host a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mohawk High School cafeteria, 385 Mohawk School Road, New Castle, Pa. Adults eat for $8, and children’s meals are $4. Tickets will be available at the door.

The event will raise funds for advertising for Western Reserve Transit Authority tax levy renewal. There also will be a basket auction and 50-50 raffle. Takeout will be available.

Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church, 252 E. Wood St., will be the location for a spaghetti dinner hosted by the Cy-Me Men’s Club from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the church hall. Adult tickets cost $7, and children’s meals are $4.50. Containers will be provided.

TAKING ORDERS

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave., North Lima, is taking orders for homemade apple dumplings. To place your order, call 330-549-5106 or the church at 330-549-2588 and leave your name, quantity wanted, if you want them baked or unbaked, and your phone number. Orders will be confirmed. The cost is $2.95 per dumpling. Pickup is from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. A portion of the profits is used for missions.

Berlin-Ellsworth Ruritan will serve a family-style all-you-can-eat Swiss steak supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 3 at Western Reserve High School, 13850 W. Akron-Canfield Road, Berlin Center. The cost is $9.50 in advance and $10 at the door. Children 4 to 10 can eat for $5, and those 3 and under eat free. There will be a homemade baking contest prior to the dinner.
