Food drive donors can receive Disney on Ice tickets

Disney on Ice “Treasure Trove,” a medley of favorite characters and scenes from Disney movies over the years, will come to Covelli Centre Dec. 13-16 for seven performances.

In anticipation of the event, Disney on Ice will host a holiday food drive to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 10 at the Covelli Centre box office.

Everyone who donates at least 10 canned food items will receive a free ticket voucher to one of the performances at Covelli. There is a limit of two vouchers per family.

A total of 300 vouchers will be given away.

In addition to peanut butter, cereal, canned soup, dry pasta, macaroni and cheese and canned vegetables, holiday items such as instant mashed potatoes, boxed stuffing mix, jarred gravy and pie filling are also encouraged.

“Treasure Trove” features the beloved characters Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy as they embark on a treasure hunt for some of the most popular Disney films ever.

Showtimes are 7 p.m. Dec. 13 and Dec. 14; Saturday, 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Dec. 15; and 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Dec. 16.
