Ohio Cultural Alliance plans two events in Nov.


CANFIELD

Ohio Cultural Alliance will have its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Nov. 5 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church social hall, 343 Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown, with Vince Camp addressing the theme, “Old World Traditions: Lost and Retained - Italy.” Camp has been involved in Italian cultural activities and was host of Sunday morning Italian hour on WNIO radio.

Musical selections will be provided by cast members of the upcoming opera, “The Barber of Seville.”

Members are asked to take nonperishable food items for the community project of the month, Dorothy Day House.

Members will honor the Youngstown Connection and its alumnus, internationally acclaimed bel canto tenor Lawrence Brownlee, at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 25 in Stambaugh Auditorium Ballroom, 1000 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. Brownlee will star in the Nov. 30 performance of the “The Barber of Seville.”

A light supper will be served. The cost is $8 per member.
