BP will make an announcement Wednesday about a major investment in Trumbull County schools.

An announcement of the size of the investment, along with a demonstration of a new Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics education curriculum will be made at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Trumbull County Education Service Center at 6000 Youngstown-Warren Road in Niles.

The investment will be part of a partnership between BP, the Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber and the public school districts in Trumbull County.

In April BP began signing leases with Trumbull County landowners as part of a $331 million agreement for between 84,000 to 85,000 acres of mineral rights. Since then the company has opened an office in Warren and expanded its lease purchases to both Mahoning and Trumbull counties.
