OBAMA RALLY | A few figures

Leaders of several cities spoke as part of a “Mayors for Obama” bus tour that made four Ohio stops Sunday, including an afternoon gathering in Warren, to encourage people to vote Nov. 6 to re-elect President Barack Obama. According to the group, under the president:

Warren has gained 700 jobs since the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act took effect.

Trumbull County received more than $100 million through the act.

The county saw 5,281 jobs in the automobile industry being saved.

Ohio has seen 43,900 manufacturing jobs created since the recovery act.

Roughly 1,291 young Trumbull County adults who otherwise would have lacked health care insurance have coverage through their parents’ plans.

Nearly 4,300 county residents in the Medicare coverage gap, commonly referred to as the “doughnut hole,” received a 50 percent discount on their brand-name drugs, saving each of them an average of $487.
