Town-hall-style event to target election issues

YOUNGSTOWN
The Black Faculty and Staff Association of Youngstown State University hosts a free town-hall- style meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 29 in the Debartolo Hall Auditorium.
The meeting, called “It’s About You,” will have a panel of representatives from the conservative and progressive perspective as well as individuals involved and knowledgeable on kitchen-table issues such as good-paying jobs, improving public schools, growing the economy, taxing the middle and upper classes, strengthening Medicare and Medicaid and other issues in the current election.
The panel will include state Rep. Robert Hagan of Youngstown, D-60th; Atty. David Betras, chairman, Mahoning County Democratic Party; Atty. Mark Mangie; radio personality Tracey Winbush; and Andrea Mahone, vice president, Youngstown Board of Education.
James Brown, a work force development specialist/counselor, will serve as the moderator. Attendees will be able to express their concerns and ask the panelists questions.
