Mount Union 51, Otterbein 0

WESTERVILLE

Mount Union matched an NCAA record with its sixth consecutive shutout. It was the 70th consecutive regular season victory for the Purple Raiders (7-0, 6-0 Ohio Athletic Conference) and was the 324th coaching victory for head coach Larry Kehres (324-24-3) moving him past Paul “Bear” Bryant for fourth on college football’s all-time wins list. The Raiders held Otterbein (5-2, 4-2 OAC) to 96 total yards (17 rushing) and forced four turnovers (three interceptions and a fumble). Blair Skilliter led the unit with six tackles. All of this was more than enough for an offense that generated 532 yards as senior running back T.J. Lattimore had three rushing touchdowns. Sophomore quarterback Kevin Burke completed 19-of-28 passes for 259 yards, threw for two scores and was also the Raiders’ leading rusher with 83 yards on 11 carries. Senior wide receiver Jasper Collins posted his second straight 100-yard receiving performance with six catches for 100 yards and a touchdown.

Findlay 41, Lake Erie 17

PAINESVILLE

Monterae Williams rushed for 268 yards on 39 carries and scored all five Findlay touchdowns as the Oilers (5-2, 5-2 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) snapped the Storm’s (2-6, 2-5 GLIAC) two-game winning streak. Williams scored on two short runs in the second quarter to give the Oilers a 17-3 lead. He then added a 6-yard run early before Brendan Gallagher hit sophomore Tommy Jackson (Hubbard) on an 8-yard strike. Gallagher completed 15-of-28 passes for 163 yards with the one touchdown and an interception. He also rushed for a career-high 74 yards.

University of Chicago 23, Hiram 7

HIRAM

For the Terriers (0-7), freshman quarterback Zach Bailey (Niles) started and completed seven-of-nine passes for 36 yards. Freshman Devonte Fleetion (East) made 11 stops.

Westminster 45, Bethany 28

NEW WILMINGTON, PA.

Titans juniors Dak Britt and Tyler Banks combined for 581 total yards. Britt ran for 160 yards and two scores, including a career-high 73-yard touchdown. Britt also had a 52-yard rushing touchdown and 143 passing yards for 303 total yards. Banks rushed for 195 yards and two touchdowns. Junior Gino Mariano (Girard) picked off Bethany’s quarterback at the Titan 20. Senior wide receiver Geno Pasquinelli (Salem) caught a 10-yard touchdown pass. Bison quarterback Matt Grimard passed for 357 yards and a pair of TDs.

Thomas More 27, Grove City 0

GROVE CITY, PA.

Senior quarterback Mike McDonald threw for 98 yards on 12-of-23 accuracy. Junior wide receiver Anthony Ritchie led Grove City with six catches for 70 yards. Senior wide receiver Dustin Anewalt had six receptions for 39 yards. Senior tailback Shane Kaclik ran for a game-high 62 yards on 22 carries. Grove City (3-4, 2-3 Presidents Athletic Conference) limited the Saints (4-3, 4-2) to 52 yards rushing. Senior safety Shawn Mercer (Beaver Local) made eight tackles. For the Saints, Jensen Gebhardt completed 20 of 28 passes for 207 yards.

Slippery Rock 38, Edinboro 31 OT

SLIPPERY ROCK, PA.

LaQuinn Stephens-Howling caught a 25-yard touchdown pass from Nigel Barksdale in overtime. Barksdale completed 15-of-30 passes for 239 yards.
