YSU LIVE | Penguins fall 38-21.

— The Youngstown State football team suffered another disappointing loss in an increasingly disappointing season, falling to Southern Illinois 31-21 on Saturday at Stambaugh Stadium.

After taking a 21-10 lead with 2:44 left in the second quarter, the Penguins were outscored 21-0 thanks to four turnovers by QB Kurt Hess and poor special teams play.

It's the third straight loss for YSU (4-3, 1-3), which will need to win three of its last four games to have any chance at a playoff berth.
