Name: Paisley Curtis

Instrument: Flute/piccolo

Q. When did you start playing your instrument?

A. I started playing the summer before fifth grade.

Q. If you could play any other instrument, what would it be and why?

A. Saxophone. It seems like a really fun instrument to play and I really enjoy listening to it.

Q. Best memory of being in band/marching band?

A. My freshman year, the first performance we did of our halftime show. It was such a fun and thrilling experience. I felt like everyone enjoyed the entertainment so much and to be a part of that was amazing.

Q. What band trips did you attend, and which trip was your most memorable?

A. I attended the New York City trip when we performed in the Veteran’s Day parade, the Washington D.C. trip when we marched in the Cherry Blossom Day parade, and also the winds ensemble Cincinnati trip.

Q. Why is music important to you?

A. Music is important to me because when I hear great music being playing in something that I am part of feels so good. The Boardman wind ensemble plays levels of music I never thought I could play and each school year I find myself playing right along with everyone else making amazing music happen. It’s a great feeling.

Q. What college do you hope to attend/intended major?

A. I plan on attending Kent State University and majoring in the education field.
